Dr. Karen Campbell is an educator of students of all ages, from the young to the young at heart. In addition to consulting for Age of Montessori, she teaches online courses in written communication at the University of Phoenix. Karen has taken the early childhood Montessori training and parented her own Montessori child. She holds a PhD in Education, MEd in Curriculum & Instruction, BS in Technology Education, and BA in Humanities.
Over the past two decades, Karen has taught at middle and high school levels, and at Montana State University-Bozeman, Summit University, and the University of Phoenix. She sees the Montessori Method as the foundation of education through connecting with one’s “inner teacher.”
Karen enjoys exploring the relationship between spirituality and transformative learning—a process through which we become more whole—and conveying her understanding to others. She has published curricula and conducted numerous educational workshops and seminars for youth and adults. She especially enjoys volunteering her time with teens at youth leadership retreats.
Her favorite pastimes are hiking, cross-country skiing, kayaking, enjoying classical music, and spending time with family.
