Susan Hoffman is a recently retired elementary school teacher with twenty-seven years teaching experience with both public and private school students in grades pre-kindergarten through high school. Twenty of those years in elementary public school, six years in Montessori education, and a year with a private high school for students with learning disabilities.
Her children were raised in a Montessori environment, attended Montessori preschool and the commitment continues with her grandson. Susan is an avid reader of books on brain function and its role in education and re-education of young and old.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology with a double minor in Education and Art. She received her Montessori training from Dr. Elizabeth Caspari, and worked under the tutelage of Mary Ellen Maunz and with Randall Klein in her early years of teaching.
Maria Montessori, her vision and her passion have remained a guiding force in her teaching practices and philosophy through the years.
