Infant-Toddler Assistance – The Montessori Way!

Infant-Toddler Assistant Course“The child’s development follows a path of successive stages of independence, and our knowledge of this must guide us in our behavior towards him.”  — Maria Montessori

NEW! What You Learn in the Infants and  Toddlers Course for  Assistants:

We hope you will find this course both interesting and useful in your daily tasks of being an infant-toddler assistant.

Every moment in a young child’s day matters to his long term development and wellbeing. Quality child care feeds a baby’s growing brain, building the foundation for the development and learning necessary for them to thrive as adults

Child care expert Dr. Burton White says exactly what Montessori said, that the first years of life are the most important in the entire span of life. And the most important “curriculum” that defines our centers is the way we lovingly meet the concrete daily needs of the babies.

There is an important difference between traditional daycare and Montessori Infant-Toddler programs: Daycares were formed to watch children, whereas Nidos* were created to educate children and their families while supporting a child’s overall development. *Nidos is the term Montessori used for the Assistants to Infancy course.

The course is deigned to last for 4 weeks

You may go more quickly or take a little longer to savor the materials. Our teaching faculty looks forward to getting to know you, so pleases participate in the forums so you can get to know others who are on the same career path as you are on, and learn from each other as well as from the course.
