As parents, we all want what’s best for our children. We want to provide everything our children need, when they need it, in order for them grow into bright, confident, and joyful adults. However, unless you have a clear understanding of your child’s developmental stages and needs, you are leaving her future up to chance.

we must first understand them.

Developmentally speaking, the first six years of the child’s life are the most critical. Children develop 85% of their core brain structure by the time they are five years old. They will build on this core foundation throughout the rest of their lives. Study after study has proven beyond a doubt, that the child’s life experiences during these formative years has a direct and predictable effect on thinking, reasoning, language, physical ability, and social-emotional behavior.

As a civilization, we don’t teach the stages of development that happen inside the mind of the young child. But just as surely as children learn to walk and talk, they also experience crucial (but less visible) stages of development. Montessori provides the information and guidance parents need to raise children with confidence.
