4-Week Course

Infant Toddler Assistant Course

An amazing amount of physical and mental development occurs between the ages of 0 and 3. Learn how to best assist the child with their development through the environment and your interactions with them.

You will learn:

  • To recognize the developmental stages of the child’s brain and body
  • To find practical ways to earn the child’s trust
  • How to create a prepared environment that serves the child’s needs
  • How to achieve the difference between watching infant/toddlers and educating them and their families

Course Description

There is an important difference between traditional daycare and Montessori Infant/Toddler programs: Daycares were formed to watch children, whereas Nidos* were created to educate children and their families while supporting overall development. The education you receive from this course will aide you in providing a supportive, educational environment and care for infants and toddlers.

*Nidos is the term Montessori used for the Assistants to Infancy course.

Great for: administrators, assistants or those seeking to be assistants, parents who wish to know how to better support their child’s natural development
